Coreffect Interactive: the studio that built Angry Balls

Coreffect Interactive is an independent studio founded in 2020 in Montreal, Quebec. Most of what it has shipped is not gambling at all: two strategy and simulation titles sold on Steam. The wagering work came later and kept the habits, which is why its games run on physics instead of reels.

A strategy developer that walked into iGaming

The studio site describes its own work in two halves. One is premium strategy and simulation released on Steam. The other is physics based iGaming built for the operator. The pitch across both is the same phrase: games driven by complex systems, simulation and procedural mechanics.

That background shows up in the product. A reel game asks a random generator for symbols and pays a table. This one asks a random generator for a layout and then simulates what a ball does to it. The result is the same in probability terms and completely different to watch, which is most of why the game gets shared.

What the studio has released so far

Two Steam titles and three games at the operator. The Steam side is where the studio spent its first five years.

Three signatures that carry across its games

Look at the three wagering titles together and the same design habits appear in all of them.

  • Physics decides the picture

Outcome and animation are the same event. A collapsing structure is not a payout animation played after the fact.

  • One decision per round

You choose an angle, or you do not play. There is no bet slip full of side options, and no free spin queue to sit through.

  • Systems over symbols

No paytable of fruit. Coins carry values from +0.25x to +10.00x and everything else comes from what the ball does to the structure.

How a small studio ended up in the top hundred

On 2026-08-26 the game ranked 57 by 30 day turnover on a platform carrying 3,368 live titles from 955 publishers. Above it in that table sit studios with dozens of releases each. This one has three.

The ranking is turnover, not quality, and turnover follows attention. A physics game that looks like a game people already know travels further than its catalogue position would suggest. The platform figures are on the operator page.
